Tutorial for playing Meta Quest 3/3s
Since I haven’t seen a tutorial to play the game, I’ll post it. It’s really simple and the game works flawlessly.

1. Install the “Meta Quest Link” app on your pc. Set it up and add your device.

2. Go into the app settings in the general tab and toggle “allow unsupported apps to launch” to on.

3. Go to the quick settings on your device, mine was the quest 3s.

4. Click on “Link” find your pc and hit connect.

5. Now you’re in virtual desktop mode. From your VR device, Double click steam to launch it and launch the game from your library.

6. Enjoy the game. No changes needed with the controls, it recognizes the meta quest controls. It just works flawlessly. Sprinting included.

I’m posting this from memory, so the name for some of the setting may be slightly different.

Tried this and the game only appeared on the virtual 2d screen and had the same issue with the controllers not being recognised

Edit - Never mind! I closed everything and reset my headset a second time and now it's working as intended. Maybe i needed to launch it first and then reset steam / headset / quest link afterwards for it to work?

Anyway, thank you so much, I've been through dozens of posts and "fixes" before i found this. It's a bit annoying it doesn't work seamlessly through steamlink like other games but at least it works, thanks again!

No problem. It took me a while to figure this out. Everyone kept saying "Air Link works", but didn't describe the details to get it operational.

It does not work at all through steam link no matter what I tried.

Enjoy the game.

I got it to work from steam link fine and I'm on 3S too. I did however have a ♥♥♥♥♥ of a time getting past the main menu. You have to edit the control scheme to one of the community made ones. Back in the games main menu it'll tell you to press the "Menu" buttons to change from sitting/standing position but I had to click the Thumbsticks instead.

Sprinting was an even bigger headache. Last night I searched for a solution for not being able to sprint and found no help. Everyone and everything says to sprint you have to "click" the left Thumbstick. I had to "double-tap" it instead. Apparently they are touch sensitive.

Trying this on my new q3, and like many others, stuck on the hdm display. tried everything I've read online, and simply can't get past it.
I recall fixing it for my old q2 years ago, but I'll be damned if I can figure it out this time around.

Hey Gareee, I get stuck there everytime i start the game, still.
I just start mashing and clicking every button on the controllers and that usually gets me past it.

Well, haven't tried that yet, but there is nothing to loose, right? Lol!
