How do I open my map?

Grab the journal from your right side and click on the map (it might take a few clicks because the tabs don’t always activate correctly).

Search around there a bit. You'll find something:)

I’m not quite sure how you could search around for 3 days (in-game) time since the area is quite small, but after getting off of the bus, go past the crafting tables and take a right. The raft is down that way.
