if you use an oculus device, you can pin a window and still see it even if the oculus menu is closed (i do that when i stream)

OVR toolkit does work. I've not had a problem with it and was able to see stream chat the entire time.

I usually run my stream on non dedicate mode with ovr free. Screen shows up on my remote just fine. I dont capture it in stream cause it gets in the way sometimes, but i can still see it. Looks like im looking at my remote.

OVRtool kit with the chatty app. Makes for a nice combo. Just capture and pin the chatty app. Bind it to you wrist and make sure to hide it when out of range or when not looking at it. You can also turn on a notification sounds when you get a message or follower etc etc.

Care to explain how? as I have a CV1 and it does not show up? Thanks

Sorry for the late reply, I never got a notification.
So I'm using a Valve Index. I have had the chat working with OVR Toolkit in two ways:

I docked the view in OBS and added a window - which I added as chat. I moved it to the side and set the FPS to 5, then set it to "Always show" but hide when I wasn't looking directly at it, but it wouldn't go away fully when I hid the OVR Toolkit controls.
This means I could just turn my head slightly and chat was there.
The other way: I'd pop my chat out of Twitch, as a browser, then add that as a window in OVRToolkit. Both resulted in me seeing it without any problems.
