Here to help. Good luck.
I've tried something similar already, though there's too many settings to keep track of. Anyway, when I tried "whatever it was", then I too got past the HMD screen, but the aim was still based on Vive Wands (or so it felt).
Moving arms and weapons also felt extremely off and it was basically impossible to hit the tutorial zombies with the axe. It was unplayable.
There's nothing of the sort when I start the game from Virtual Desktop's "Games tab".
Anyway, I'll get back to you, but it could take quite a while if my connection acts up (4G until May when we get fiber).
EDIT: None ^_^
What about any "sluggish" movement, like when shaking the flashlight very fast? When I do it, my hand is almost not moving. When I start the game from Virtual Desktop I don't have this issue.
Whaaaah, Your Quest 2 works without the bugs!?
Yea it sounds like starting from Virtual Desktop was the fix for a lot of folks... but yeah... I haven't experienced the jello effect a lot of people talk about, but it does take more range of motion to do actions fully than in other games. If youre having trouble with the gamesettings.ini op provided i'll add mine to post, just dont want to hijack his thread as is the case with every other related thread. Sprint is toggled correctly, the movement controls are correct too.
AMAZING! Thanks for letting me know. Updated the OP (& added tip three). One thing if you don't mind back up your GameUserSettings.ini & test mine. As I would like to make the OP as simple as possible for new users.
Man I'm so happy I could help both Quest's!
I'm happy to help 121 via discord with yours, PM me when you have the time we'll get it cracked!
Add this to the end of the Engine.ini in the appdata /*/*/*/*/WindowsNoEditor/ folder

Alot of people say Alyx is the best game on VR right now but im having soooo much fun with this game...
Now I don't like ramping up the brightness on dark games, I like the atmosphere.
This tip was well worth adding to the OP. Big thanks buddy!!!
PS. found a small bug when chatting to NPC's Right stick was inverted updated the .json
But I wonder if my issue is related to the one you fixed.
I use Oculus Quest 2, and it's connected via Link (by cable). So my usual routine is to wear a headset, launch Link, launch Steam VR, launch the game I need.
When launching Superhot VR or TWD: SS, I'm unable to open the Steam window or see the overlay notification. Somehow, the game overrides (?) my Steam overlay, and I'm unable to see Steam notifications (messages, achievements, etc.). If I have OpenVRTwitch Chat or any other apps running, they're not showing up in both of these games.
In HL: Alyx, for example, the Steam overlay, along with the Twitch chat, was working perfectly.
Do I really need to do all these steps written in your instruction, if my game lets me play (walk, use objects, etc.) without this instruction?
I appreciate your thanks!
Um can't help you, as I'm not using the link cable & I refuse to sign into my Oculus account on my computer or give Facebook any more of my money or data. Sorry buddy. Facebook's fault.
