Quest 2 Virtual Desktop Problem

Right at the beginning it says I should recalibrate my HMD to progress. It says "push left and right menu button" but left menu button sends me back to Quest 2 menu and right menu button is also something else. Tried all the other buttons as well.. nothings working. Please help...

So I had to start the game not via the Virtual Desktop in Virtual Desktop but through "Games" in the Virtual Desktop menu. It would falsely think that you use the Oculus Touch controllers otherwise instead of the Quest 2 controllers.

How did you even get to launch the game with quest 2? I just get told to download oculus software

I've gotten past that, but can't move and the game thinks I'm using different controllers. The Pinned message isn't being helpful cause the gameusersettings.ini doesn't seem to exist anywhere.

Edit: Ok I got it working with Nameless Hero's advice. Do not start SteamVR. Just start the game without SteamVR and it seems to work correct for Oculus Quest 2.

I do the same thing, it works perfect for me but then it crashes all of the sudden. Every 34-45 minutes TWDSS will crash for some reason, apparently when I exit it’s a steam VR problem. But I have no idea how to fix it. I’ve deleted and reinstalled both TWDSS and steam VR so they should be up to their latest versions. My PC can handle the game too so it shouldn’t be that. I use to play on my quest 1 and I had no issues like this, do you maybe have any solutions on what I could do? If so that’d be great!!

Had the steam version which I struggled to get working but My oculus version works fine via virtual desktop with no issues.
Not sure if they use different apks.

When you're in virtual desktop, press the menu button on your left controller. Don't click start steam vr. Instead click Games in that popout window and then choose the game from there.

But why if start the game from Virtual Desktop you dont open achivements in steam, and game time is not counted?..

For me VD it's main way to play in PC VR.
Steam, fix this problem.

You can still do this, I figured it out this way:
Start SteamVR, and go to the homeplace in SteamVR. Start the game The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners from SteamVR. When you are on the frontpage of the game, press the small button with three linies once. On the menu go to controller figuration, and change the keybindings to another one. If you still have the problem, let me hear and I can guide you to fix it.

What keybindings do you change to?
