Can someone please add or tell me how to increase weapon durability majorly

I really hate how weapons die after like 6 stabs (shank) and things like that, I personally like to kill the walkers, and sometimes stealth, however I think it breaks too soon, I'm sure in reality you could literally kill many walkers without breaking your knife (although I'm sure it'll get blunt eventually and less effective but not break) and when it gets low on durability maybe have a grind stone or something to bring the durability back up.

TL:DR Can someone tell me how to increase weapon durability majorly? thank you!

Durability is for game balance. Items you find are not meant to be permanent. Crafting knives and other stabbing weapons at the RV will give you the best bang for your buck. What you find in the world is meant to be broken down for crafting, or as a last means effort to get back to the barge. Scavenge for supplies and check your RV crafting board for items you need to make better weapons and supplies.

There is a recipe called Jambalaya which increases weapon durability while buffed. To get it you have to go to Via Corolla into the Tower (blue house on the map). The recipe is on the stove in the kitchen. In the early stages of the game the house will be occupied and you will be trespassing when you enter. It may possible to sneak around to get it though, you just have to time it with the patrolling.

Otherwise, level up your gear station so you can make the Grass Cutter. It lasts twice as long as any other melee weapon so long as you chop their heads off. You can also use a forward thrust attack to keep your distance if you like, as well as throwing it like a lance, but that's not super effective since it probably won't kill them and they'll be walking around with your sword stuck in them lol.

In reality Most knifes will break if you try and stab anyone once. 90% of all knifes you see are just for looks. Same with most all kitchen knifes they are just very week. Now when it comes to combat knifes they should never break.

The Durability sucks hard. If they want it in the game then it needs to be majorly increased how much you can use a weapon before it fails AND allow for repairs. The current setup is total bull crap.

Instead of being upset about the murder we should be asking where we can get such amazing quality kitchen knives?
