Menu access

Hi all. This is probably a dumb question but how do I pause the game or access the menu to change things while playing?
I am new to this whole VR thing (still get a bit nauseated). So I have to play with the menu a lot to see what works best for me. Thanks!

If you're using the Index controllers, you hold down the left trackpad.
