sad
the only reason it has good reviews is cos everyone was starved for VR titles. Every NPC is a foot and half too short in this game because they wanted to make it easy for you to stab in the head. Really immersion breaking that the 50 year old survivor you're talking to is the same height as your 9 year old daughter
it wouldn't be fun in non-vr... it was built for vr, and all its mechanics are built around that.
Lol
The game is only great because it's vr it doesn't offer anything new to the zombie genre just plain and boring a loot shooter without VR I would call this ♥♥♥♥.
Sounds like something is off with your calibration. Or mine. If anything my impression is that NPCs are quite alright in height, but zombies all of them are taller than me.
It won't work on desktop, and it would be awful even if it did. It's barely a VR experience unless you are looking to raise your blood pressure.
The game is amusing. It can even be fun, but it is nowhere near even the most remote concept of awesome unless maybe you have never seen VR before.
fool killer is not high. They are just not impressed by mediocrity.
But even if there is some whack way to play this on desktop, just don't. The only chance this game has at not sucking total arse is to be played in VR. Save up, borrow one, play a friend's, etc. But don't try any simware that promises to un-VR things.
Have you played any fallout game?
I do suggest fallout 4 for PC non vr. Strongly. But the VR port should be nobody's introduction to VR by a long shot. If you want to get into zombies in VR, I suggest AZ sunshine first. It is polished, It is not buggy. It is a good time. But that's not to say this walking dead game has nothing to offer. It is fun, and it is hugely annoying. You kind of have to be thirsty for VR to excuse the flaws. I haven't rated it for that purpose. For all I absolutely hate about this game, it has some uniqueness to offer and is only awful initially. If you learn to deal with the stupid design garbage, you will do fine and have a good time. But me, I was not impressed and I have to coach my kids on how to not die immediately because your guy is an elderly weakling who cant do anything after all these years in the apocalypse. Kind of stupid. But I'd say give it a shot later. not now, not if you are new to VR.
