Gun play is bad
Did they make the guns the worst part of this game on purpose ?

I don't mean to be extreme but... shooting in VR is usually awesome, like because of the nature of it and everything. I'm a few hours in and I gotta say trying to head shot anything is a chore, and when I land a shot, it feels like and accident.

The bow for me is a little bit better. But when i try to aim that thing like you should a real bow( draw it to your cheek) i just smash my controller on the head-peace lol

Am I Just really bad or does anyone else share this experience ?

I mean, its because shooting a gun and operating it draws into stamina. I'm not sure why, but if I am riding full stamina they are perfectly usable

I haven't had any problems aiming down sights, no missed shots apart from bad timing, but otherwise it takes a little practice if you're just aiming freely sort of. They move erratically so it can be easy to miss shots sometimes. I've been meaning to try the bow out though, maybe I'll give it a go later, otherwise I just crafted a 9mm finally, but didn't have enough mats for the ammo recipe yet :(

Honestly, the learning curve for weapons and using them properly (along with the weight system) has lead to some really scary situations that are really unique to vr.

Using the bolt action rifle is particularly scary if you have a few coming at you. Had a situation where I missed a shot, the resulting stress made me fumble around trying to chamber the next round a quickly as I could, barely making it in time to take out the last zombie.. or so I thought. While I was shooting it, one moaned like 5 feet away directly to my right, not having chambered the next one, I instinctively pulled out my pistol last second to take him out. Got full body chills from the experience so it was pretty awesome. The immersion factor really got me good there.

Yeah, in VR you can dual wield weapons. Ive just begun this game but can imagine how hard it is to shoot 2 guns at once. In Arizona sunshine it works well enough. Usually have a pistol that I aim with the sites and an automatic rifle in the other hand for just spraying bullets in the general area. It is probably a bit unrealistic to be able to shoot an automatic weapon with one hand though!

What VR setup you running? Right now the Index is not supported and has a plethora of issues with this game which makes it 100% unplayable. The guns are not adjusted properly for the index, nor anything else. So if you are using the Index, thats gonna be the issue.

That sucks! Im using the old HTC Vive. Everything seems to work well. I havent played it a whole lot yet though.

Only problem I was having is my height keeps getting screwed up and I turn out a giant or a mini person! They did put in the method for resetting height, so that works. I turned off the option to use my real height as height in game and that seemed to help.

With this being a new game, id think they will fix your issues. Have you been posting on here about it all? The devs seem really responsive on here.

I'm running the Original HTC Vive. I noticed there's and option in the settings for hand gun angle settings or something. I don't know what it does...but i think the fact that option is in their shows the devs are aware there's some kind of issue.
