Decorating?

How do I decorate my hub? I keep seeing it around however when I decorate, the next time I go to sleep its all gone. How do I save it?

I'm kind of new to the game but I think they have to be placed on the wall mounts, otherwise they reset? Then again I have a cigarette that I took out of a pack that I can't recycle and it doesn't seem to disappear.. Can't smoke it either

turns out you were right, I could place the heads onto the weapon mounts and they saved. Thought it would allow me to place them anywhere as theres a lot of space stuff could be put but isnt able to be saved.
