Oculus debug tool question

l'm trying to increase the pixel per display l went from the default value 0 to 1.5 and l don't notice any changes ,or if it changes is very unnoticeble ,am l doing something wrong? ,also my performace wasn't hindered at all and that lead me to believe l must have made a mistake ,any tips?

just a tip,dont have oculus running in the background when installing ott,when installed set ott to make oculus home to start and exit when not in use,it will stop osvrserver,exe64 from constantly running in the background.and using cpu/gpu.as facebook loves that mad info lol

l already had the debug tool in program files ,it was included in an update ,l just don't know why it's not registering my increase in pixel override ,also l did not have the oculus store nor any other VR app runing

Oculus Tray Tool is the way to go, I had issues with the debug tool that comes with oculus. You can set profiles for each game in tray tool

l have a GTX 980 ti and Core i7 3.9 ghz what value of supersampling is recomended , for the record ,l have the in game pixel density set to 149 in the game video options menu ,all other values to either high or ultra and the game runs very smooth

Put on the performance HUD and see what type of frametime and performance headroom you have while playing the game. This will tell you how far you can raise supersampling. You want to have a decent amount of headroom.
