How long the day?
I wonder how long the day is in real time. I know it's far to short. You barely get time to expore anything proberly before your times up.
I thought this would be the number one complaint about the game but you guys seem to be happy with it. Why are you happy with the what feels like 10 minute day?

Yeah it feels really short man. It feels like 10 minutes to me. Wish there was a mod to freeze time flow bro. I would be more happy with random group of walkers where I need to hide or something.

Two things need to be increase to add to the fun. Longer days and more stamina.
Maybe make it a option.

I constantly see people complaining about it, but i still don't get how it's a complaint? You have more than enough time to do whatever you need to do, and if you're running out of stamina, you must be doing something "wrong".

Yeah but you cant explore, you need to rush, rushing breaks immersion. Yeah you will do what you need to do if you follow script, mission objective but there is no time for detour, no time to get distracted, no time to appreciate the world. Just rush, constant rush, race to.objective's marker. If you come across something worth exploring, tough luck, you explore....you die....

Welcome to the zombie apocalypse.

I've never had to rush to finish off a map. If you want to go and smell the roses, then yes, you might run short on time but if so, just come back the next day. Turning off two major mechanics of the game doesn't make sense.

It wouldn't suck if the watch actually, ya know, told the time.

It kinda does xD

It tells you how much time you HAVE LEFT haha.

But I agree. I would like 1 extra watch hour or half 'n hour just to explore more.
It feels rushed sometimes BUT I think it also has to do with the choices you make.
And ofcourse YOU CAN escape the herd when the bell rings... but it can be very troubling at times.

I wish there was an automatic weapon in the game like an M4A1.

.

But that information isn’t displayed in a traditional way, eg. a numerical countdown timer displaying minutes and seconds.

time is a mere control mechanic, its all very simple....

Early morning ~ dead increases, supplies dwindle, start of your day...
travel once to any given location = starts your watch timer
you leave the area early or when the timer ends, and arrive back at home, its now night time
you craft, heal, repair, and sleep, then...

repeat, the only true debate is whether or not everyone here agrees with the length of the cycle, rather than how to tell what time it is, we could add numbers to the watch face but that doesnt increase your allowance now does it...

not to mention i think we all know where the 12, 3, 6, and 9 goes on a clock, right ?

What difference does that make when we don't know how long a unit of time represents? And what difference does knowing how long a unit of time represents when you can only visualize when a quarter of that time has passed? Would you wear a watch that only tells you the time in 15 minute increments and can't count minutes or seconds?
Shane Feb 9, 2020 @ 9:47am
okay so fire up the game, travel to a location the timer will start, start your stopwatch, stay next to the boat until the bells ring stop the stopwatch leave the area... do the math conversion

and bingo you have your answer, because if your sat there waiting for me to provide that answer your going to be waiting a long time...

personally i really dont see any issue, i understand good enough when to leave the area based on nothing but a radial style progress bar

its not rocket science in any fashion is it ?
if you cant, well crap...

Devil in me. Feb 9, 2020 @ 10:05am
Would also like a much!! much! longer day, I want to snoop aropund and find things. Feel like I have to rush. Maybe a hardcore mode with no hud at all would be perfect.

There is an assualt rifle.

When they throw in mechanics to rush you it is always to cover up lack of content. And that is a gaming fact. Same with the stamina thing, psychologically gives you the impression of a larger area then it actually is.
