Tourist Edition Upgrade - "Is it worth it?" Discussion

Thinking about purchasing the upgrade but are three new weapons worth the $10?
I was hoping to find someone who has been able to play around with the items and provide some feedback. There's already different variants of the revolver, bat, and knife so how are these ones different?
Also, the upgrade mentions voodoo dolls, but I don't know what that's suppose to do. I've found several voodoo dolls in my time in the game but they don't seem to do anything so I usually scrap thing. Are these ones different?

The dolls are just collectables and they are different, based more off statues of the Loa than the dolls you find laying around. The weapons are neat if you are a TWD fan, the revolver and bat are from the show, not sure about the knife? I stopped watching after Glen got his brains smashed in because Im really not a fan of gore-porn and watching people be physically and psychologically tortured makes me uncomfortable these days, go figure.

I use the combat knife because it doesnt take steel, which is a benefit.

Id say if you really enjoy the game and have the money, do it just to support the developers, thats why I did it. Its not game breaking to not do it, and its not game changing to do it.

Never buy preorder items, it's just a way Publishers use to artificially increase the price.

Sadly, with buzz words like "bonus" and "exclusive", and adding a sense of urgency, everyone buys it, and it's now the norm.

Its not preorder though, the game is fully released, and all this content is available when you boot the game up...

I consider it more of a thank you developers donation.

Virtual items aren't actually ever worth anything. Same deal with micro-transactions of items and skins in any game. It's for if you have the money (or parent's money) to spare and want to support the game developers (or just to look cool).

i stopped after the busted out eyeball scene from glenn too.. was too much, so not just you

I stopped around that time as well, but not because of the gore. I just got sick of the writing, dialogue, and the really forced, cheap cliffhangers.

In fact I haven't liked anything Walking Dead related since Season 3 or 4 of the show, and Season 1 Episode 3 of the Telltale series.

Then this game came out and became my favorite thing under the name. Keep in mind I haven't read the comics so I don't know if those are good or not.

I usually never buy any extra items because I don't care but the weapons looked fun to use so I went for it. I ended up using them quite a bit so it was worth it for me.

The knife belongs to Abraham. He was in the show long before he and Glenn got bopped.

preordered the tourist edition and i still didnt get the soundtrack with all the updates ... dont buy the upgrade, dont waste money. the core game is nice!
