Where to get good food?

Do I have to loot the recipe or something for food that won't kill you? If so, where?

You can develop one of the workbenches to make something that restores your stamina without loosing health. I always throw all food and drink I find in the recycler and craft that stuff. I am not sure what it is called, but I think you already get it by upgrading that workbench once.

outside the bus there are 3 workstations with paper slots...

a)food etc
b)firearms
c)melee

each workstation has a piece of paper of the left that tells you what you need to upgrade and unlock the next paper recipe, each recipe does something new per description on it...

the food etc workstation once upgrade to create food makes food that dont hurt your max health, get that asap and turn all the food you find into sugar and protein instead
