Lets face it Peteo, more like me and you would be zombies. lmao
When you make a lot of noise in The Shallows via gunfire or explosions, it will attract more walkers over time and decrease the walkers in surrounding areas.
If you make less noise in a run, the amount of walkers in the area don't increase as much.
It would also be nice if there's like a horde migration mechanic where a horde or two passes through from one area to another and progresses each day originating from a random edge of the map moving in a set direction.
If you play through an area and make a lot of noise during your run, it will attract the horde in that direction giving you the opportunity to lead it away from where you're planning to visit in the next few days.
It might sound like a lot of work but I would love to see something like this.
There will be no clue as to which point of the map the horde will come from, you'll just encounter it upon exploration and keep track of its direction as you move from one area to another.
Devs can spawn valuable loot in the area the horde is in to make it more fun.
Kind of like a risk vs reward kind of thing.
That might be more forgiving than what I'm reading here where the game gets harder as days pass.
I believe that`s the point.
yea, but they still come back if they stick around.
This, conjoint with an iron man mode. What i kill stays dead. If i fail, i am dead.
Would make clearing a house, a street, a city, such a satisfying event.
dead island, dead rising, dead light ... always the same infinite amount of mindless monsters.
People seem to love hacking and slashing the same easy victims for days, weeks, month and years and i am bored out of my mind. To each his own, but give me just ONE open world zombi game with this OPTIONAL mechanic and i'd be a happy panda.
Respawning would be fine if it happened outside the map and the zombies would walk back in.
Yes but your character is not a battle hardened veteran of this world nor do you have a group of similar survivors traveling with you sooo I would think the option of completely clearing out streets would not be a solution considering they will continually pour in from surrounding areas until your supplies are gone or your stamina is so depleted you couldn't even swing a weapon.

I like this answer the best. Makes the most sense.
