I cant see an option to have teleport in there at the moment what is annoying as i cant play.
Here's my advice for you to get used to it:
- Play for limited bouts of time. Stop playing immediately when you feel uncomfortable. There's no need to force yourself through it.
- Take a break.
- Return to the game only when you feel 100% good.
- Rinse and repeat. You'll find that you'll be able to play for longer before you feel sick, until you don't feel sick anymore.
I’ve had my CV1 for over a month now and I did the exact same thing.
I’m never really hurled because of motion sickness before. My first experience was with Arizona Sunshine in smooth locomotion and when I pressed the stick up the first time, it felt like my soul didn’t to be in my body anymore.
It’s like the same feeling you get when you ride a rollercoaster.
I just brute it out. I played for an hour or so only using smooth locomotion, occasionally taking breaks to wipe the sweat buildup off my HMD.
Also, when moving in smooth locomotion, move your body along with your character pretending to be walking in place with your arms swinging.
This helped me.
Trick your brain into thinking your body really is moving then when you get used, you can move in smooth locomotion while standing completely still.
Now, I can play for 3hrs or so in smooth locomotion and not feel sick.
So i stopped, and for some days thinking in selling my headset. then read some comments, and started playing in short ammounts of time. The next game i tried was The Lab. Which is for me, the best of the best. Really good looking game, with minui-games, enough to try, and enjoy. with teleporting, and some stuff that will help u put with motion sickness. thenn...oh well i played Assetto corsa (car sim). ok that was rude for my brain, but at the same time a wonder. Next? well airship simulator: VTOL. Wow that game is your fix for nausea. U can go 6dof, and having a blast. So there are my recommendations. Start slowly, adn add more immersive games (hard level ones) to your cart. - remember, 1 at a time. and little dossis of them.
now i can play almost all games and no issues. yes even lone echo!
lone echo is game that i can handle with minor discomfort, since you float in space. I will have more discomfort with this game tho, like with any other game that involves walking/running.
I really can't be asked to train something for my entertainment, especially because motion sickness is a very ♥♥♥♥♥♥ feeling. So yeah I'll just skip on this one, i do understand why they didn't implement it tho, it would make the game too easy. I still would have bought it tho, now I won't.
Ones you get used to this kind of Locomotion it's feels allot more immersive then sliding with regular smooth Locomotion and no more nauseous. Atleast for me it worked 100%.
