Steps to reproduce:
1) Click play from Steam Library
- ubisoft connect pops up and loads
- I see anno 1800 pop up and load
- then 5 seconds later it 'crashes' and aborts
- I see that ubisoft connect popup for a second or two then nothing
This has been happening now for me for about three weeks.
In my case, I can see the menu, choose my profile picture, colour, add name etc, but when i click to start the game or scenario, I see a loading screen (the one where one receives tips) that never ends.
resolution and if you run the Game in "Fullscreen" instead of "windowed" or
"windowed Fullscreen".
That might cause the issue you can't see that particular button on the bottom.
Like i said just a guessing.
Unfortunately, whichever resolution or version (windowed or not) I tried, the result is the same: the screen freezes ('not responding' sign appears above) and I'm given the option to either wait (it doesn't change anything) or quit the application.
To rule out some common causes of issues I have some tips I would advise trying below:
- Add Ubisoft Connect and the game to your anti-virus/firewall whitelist
- Complete the steps in our dedicated troubleshooting guide [ubi.li]
- Perform a clean boot [support.microsoft.com] to ensure no other applications are interfering
- Complete a System File Check [support.microsoft.com] to ensure your system files are behaving as intended
Should you then continue to have trouble, it would be really beneficial to take a look at your Dxdiag[support.ubisoft.com] and Msinfo[www.ubisoft.com] so that we can get a deeper look at the problem.
These files can be attached to a new case[support.ubi.com] so that we can take a look.
Many thanks in advance
