Im having trouble with loading in onto the game and keeps telling me about an eos bootstrapper anyone know how to fix this issue?

Sorry for the trouble! It seems some specific setups are having this issue, we do have a work around though!

Right click the game in Steam, go to Manage then Browse Local Files

Then open the EpicOnlineServices folder and run the EpicOnlineServicesInstaller.exe

That should fix it for you for now while we work to get a better solution out for everyone who is affected!

We also just pushed an update to Steam that should fix this problem going forward as well!

Just updated and can't play aswell. Same error "cant launch game with crossplay"
I tried installing and uninstalling the anti cheat. Have two services Easy anti cheat AND Easy anti cheat (EOS) so I tried to disable one and keep the other on manual, wouldnt work.

When I try to manually start EAC (EOS) it says the service could not be started error 87 the parameter is incorrect.

hope this helps a bit wanted to play with friends on epic and now struggle because i bought the game lmao good luck with fix

Have you tried verifying your game files on Steam? That should trigger the EOS reinstaller to run and it should fix it for you! You might want to try restarting Steam before doing that to make sure that it gets the latest version of the game as well!

Everytime i run the installers cmd pops up for a split second and then silence. I will do what you suggested and let you know.

Managed to verify all files, restarted steam and changed all exes compatibility to run as admin. Still got the error. Also tried to run MidnightGhostHunt.exe without steam and had the same. I suppose there is no way to run the game through epic games launcher without new installation instance for each? Eventually share account on both?

Correct, they are two totally different builds between Epic and Steam.

it is strange that the verification didn't fix it for you, when you launched the game after verifying, did you see a popup about installing Epic Online Services?

You can also try to open the game files folder, and then open the EpicOnlineServices folder and run EpicOnlineServicesInstaller.exe - that should also fix it for you.

Will reach out to you on discord asap. I launched all the .exe and installers I could, even EAC folder itself. On the services installer run nothing appears to happen.

Another thing to try would be to go to your control panel to remove a program, and try removing "Epic Online Services" and then verify the game files, which should reinstall it (as version 2.0.37.0).

I believe there might be an issue with Epic Online Services version 2.0.36.0 that won't allow it to auto-update.

Still doesn’t work on Steam Deck. I’ve updated MGH, verified files, seen the EOS installer pop up and do it’s thing, however still see the EOS bootstrapper message on startup. Tried with Proton Experimental and Proton 8.0.3.

We do not officially support Linux/Steam Deck, so unfortunately we can't really help on that front. A lot of the troubleshooting steps listed here on the Steam Forums should still apply to Linux/Steam Deck, you will just need to figure out *how* to do those steps.

When will it be updated?Since I downloaded it yesterday, I have been unable to enter the game. I can start the backend manager and close Epionline to enter, but it will show that I can enter through Steam. Uninstalling multiple times has failed, and verifying the integrity is useless. Uninstalling Epic is also useless, even if I click to start the game, the game interface and backend will not be displayed.

Hmm, I am not entirely sure, it depends on how far into the launch it is getting. I would first recommend restarting your computer, and then trying it. If you are still having trouble after that, your best bet might be to join our Discord and DM me directly so I can try to help talk you through getting me some logs so we can hopefully track it down for you!
