Kicked from Server?

Just got the game, when I join a game I get "Kicked from server" either immediately as it starts or a couple minutes into the game. I know it's not the host doing it because my friend tried to create a lobby and it still happened.
So far I've verified the integrity of files and made sure it was allowed through my firewall. Any help is appreciated.

First time I've heard that one. I think you might have more success getting help on the Discord. The game devs were pretty active when I was last frequenting it. Here is the link, sorry I couldn't be of more assistance:

Yep as mentioned, our Discord is your best bet for help, but it sounds like you are having issues with the anti-cheat install. You can try the following to see if it helps, but if it doesn't, please join our Discord and send a DM to MGH ModMail and we can help you further!

Right click Midnight Ghost Hunt in your Steam library and then Manage -> Browse Local Files. Open the EasyAntiCheat folder and run EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe followed by install_game_launcher.bat and install_service.bat. All 3 of those should open and close pretty much instantly. After running them, you should be able to start the game.
