depends, for me, was worth buying.
game still very much in development.
release time. not sure atm, game only has one developer that i know of. so could take several more years.
but ill take from the store page.
if your not excited for it in its current state. then i would say don't buy.
if your not, put it on your Wishlist and follow and wait for release.
The mechanics are fun, there's a nice map, the basic mechanics work, yes the extended mechanics are all broken, but the basics are there and you can build a nice base etc.
And who knows what surprises await us in the future.
I bought this game 7 years ago, have given up on it several times and every so many years there's still that challenge to see how the current version is holding up.

Not at this time ..<<
Game developer (good guy though) has decided to go AWAY from Mining ..
He forgot the games go too for ACTUAL Resources ((MINING))..
AMMO - can NOT be crafted as needed because mine is limited to just *8 NODES* in it !!
other crafting becomes limited real quick because of it as well ..
7 year ago -when game first came out (under Early Access) we had a huge mine ..
but since going to a new game engine (under a year ago) he decided to do away with what actually matters ..
~WORKING MINE(s) AND CRAFTING AMMO
~what people don't do
good luck you will have grandkids first if you dont already
Personally, I enjoy trying to find quirks in games and "unique" ways of accomplishing things. Done my time with multiplayer games and prefer solo worlds. Not to mention I am a hoarder, "loot goblin" and dabble with building; so MS works out well for my taste.
First thing I would suggest is learn how to make your own backups and restore them, then do so often. Will save you heartache in the long run. :)
