Alt-Tab spook; any way to get rid of it?

Title says it all. Happens very frequently when I just want to talk to someone or switch music in my musicplayer.

I understand its a turn-off for people to look for things like answers to certain events but is there any way to disable it, perhaps with a mod? I heard that disabling the 'Creepy Neighbor' setting doesn't disable this easter egg at all.

It makes me mentally uneasy every time I tab back in after chatting anywhere
(its not exactly scary but the thought is still unwelcomed and is the only thing I dislike about the game after several runs. I guess the free achievement is welcomed though)

Edit:
Apparently disabling the 'creepy neighbor' setting seems to work.
(Despite the achievement calling the person "your _other_ neighbor".)
Some people told me otherwise but after a bit of spamming alt-tab and waiting it seems to work so far.

Yup, it's right in settings -> extra -> creepy neighbor: on/off.

I imagine you're not the first person to really dislike it!

thought the creepy neighbor had to do with the weirdo that peeks over when you look in the peephole lol. thought the 4th wall breaking guy was funny when he first spooked me actually lol.

If you stay al tabbed for a minute or a spook pops up for like half a second to jump scare you.
But its so fast and the sound isnt that loud so its not even scary, especially if you know it exists.
Still do it once for an achievement.

To elaborate just a little bit on this (in case NisseDood's explanation wasn't enough)
A barely visible shadow of a man will show up in the middle of your screen (not obstructing much), for a bit of a second, accompanied with a 'thud' noise.
My first time seeing it, it took me about 5-8 alt-tab's before it showed up, so I'm not sure if it's RNG or just after a specific amount of time has passed and you tab back into the game again.
You get an achievement which gives you a new shirt in-game, with the description "Meet your _other_ neighbor".

I like to think of it as mild discouragement for peeking at a guide lol
