Assassin's creed 3 Remastered 2 small weapons equipped bug

I was playing assassin's creed 3 Remastered and after I entered sequence 6 I went and bought the stone dagger and switched right away with the tomahawk but i have both weapons on my weapon wheel and that causes issues with the other small weapons in the game as well. Whenever i happen to click on it replaces it even though i shouldn't have had it the same thing happens with the tomahawk. for example i try to have the stone tomahawk i switch to the knife and when i click to my original weapon it replaces it with the assassin tomahawk I'm not sure what to do. please help

Does this only happen when switching with the Tomahawk or have you noticed it with any other larger weapons?
