Beavers/Elk = Start at the Northwestern Fort (Fort Duqesnee I believe) and follow the small river next to the fort all the way up to its source behind the fort and surrounding woods. Thou shalt hath plentiful bounty there! Get ready to cleanse the forest of the beavers, it will be a genocide.
Elk = they are everywhere, easy to hunt. Hunt females from above (trees) with hidden blade, or a poison dart. Same with the males, but you can also provoke them head-on, they will attack you. When they attack, you can do an extra attack with a hidden blade right after the animation ends for quick spoils.
Bears = Start at the The Frontier Fast Travel point in the Northeastern part of the map, head down the cliffs and you shall meet many a bear. Cross the lake and you shall encounter many more a bear as well.
You can also hunt all the other animals, they provide decent money, but they are either low value (Hares) or scarce (Bobcats/Cougars) or they run away from you fast (Deer).
Hunting is really fun and engaging in this game however, and The Frontier in remastered looks amazing, really nice to explore. Just pick a strategy that suits you :)
You have to visit a shop or your Homestead and interact with the Accounting Book. In there, select Crafting and find category Special Items. You will then find all the upgrades for capacity there (rope darts, quiver, etc., you can even craft swords, pistols) If you have enough materials, simply select the upgrade and press SPACE to craft it.
If you don't, one or more ingredients on the left (after you select the wanted upgrade) should be highlighted red, meaning you need to either craft it, or find it (pickpocketing, hunting, etc.).
