You do have to run Odyssey to activate AC3/Liberation Remastered. This is only for the Season Pass or Odyssey Gold Edition.
The standalone purchases does not have this requirement.
technically the original version of liberation isnt on PC. it was originally a PS vita exclusive. every version of liberation outside of the vita was essentially a remaster. so the remaster of liberation thats included is basically a remaster of a remaster
AC3 remaster did make changes to the original game, but you have to play to find out what those changes are.
i still wish connor got a sequel, honestly i wish most AC protagonists got a sequel. part of the reason ezio is generally considered the best assassins creed character is because he had 3 games to develop as a character.
