AC 3 Liberation...60+fps but...
Alright, im running at 4k about 74 fps on average with about a 10ms frametime, however I am getting some crazy stutter, choppiness during any movement whatsoever. A huge deal breaker, went down to 1440 and 1080p and the same issue, as well as changing different graphic settings. I went in to nvidia CP and did the whole pre rendered frames to 1, forced fxaa, maximum power on gpu etc...nothing helps.

System is i7-7700k OC 4.8
Strix 2080ti O11g
16 gb 3000mhz ram
on SSD

Disclaimer - AC 3 (main game) Odyssey, and Origins all run buttery smooth max settings 60fps+ @4k. This is bringing flashbacks to Black Flag at 4k with physx particle problems.

How are you even running the game at 74 FPS if it's capped at 60...

why would you go over 60fps in slow paced game like this?

The point isn't the fps, it's the stutter and choppiness, I do not care if its 60 or 120 fps, the stutter has to stop lol

Dunno if this helps you but i tweaked settings and i have constant 70+ frames now :
open assassin3.ini :
EnvironmentQuality=4
TextureQuality=1
ShadowQuality=2
ReflectionQuality=1
CharacterQuality=2

Nvidia control panel :
Power management mode : prefer maximum performance
texture filtering quality : performance
Threaded optimization: enabled
anti-aliasing mode : off
open gl rendering gpu : select your gpu

and i have 1080ti.

No, it doesn't sadly - its not an fps issue I maintain 70's however the game engine or whatever stutters so bad that it feels like 20fps, however there is no sever drop in fps - never below 65, EVER

Am not sure???
I have a 144 Hz monitor so I guess the game wanted to keep up and not lose a speed race XD

So your monitor gives more fps. i should consider 240hz monitor then

XD :steamhappy: not exactly.
I assume the vsync wasn't enabled and since My graphic card can handle it, it tried to keep up with my monitor.
