Hentai University looks like it may be using a few assets that aren't within fair use. You can look in the discussion forums mainly here to see what I am referring to. Aside from the possible use of other asset allegations this game may have; it runs as a decent match three game but still has quite a few flaws.

There are multiple sets of stages each with a subject symbol on the blocks that is the weak point. There isn't really much of a tutorial explaining all this. You can't click and drag to move you have to click and than click in another position. The three to five stages actually get easier as you progress because you have more turns as you go further in. I'm not sure if it was a bug or not but the story was the exact same on each stage I clicked for each set of stages. There also seem to be bugged achievements.

I'm honestly not going to delve too deep into pros and cons with this one. It seems by multiple possibilities that several assests are taken from other things in which case this game will probably be removed soon. I would say maybe keep your eye on it if you really needed it; but it is possible it will be gone soon.

Hentai University is a Match 3 style game, with the aim of winning/losing, then accumulating points to grind out, beef up your random symbols, all in an attempt to… randomly figure out what works and what doesn’t? I’m so confused by this game. It is broken beyond belief. I wish I could put this lightly or sugar-coat it, but it’s really dreadful. From the absolute mayhemic mechanics, to the sadistic laughs I get (most of which get cut off for some reason, thank God), to the… “La-deeee!” for … whatever triggers the question marks? Question mark?

So anyway, the premise is to completely be random, have impossible to unlock achievements for passing levels, and then, well, finish three levels per “story” all of which are the same. The music makes me feel like I’m starting out in “The Sims 3” with create-a-character or whatever the hell it is. Origin should take their happy music away from this game. At least that other game had a reasonably okay system to it as far as running mostly okay… and keeping you busy. Too busy.

Anyway, getting off-track, the choice has no bearing that I can tell on the puzzle or anything else. It’s pure random hell. Grind up a few levels per “skill” and you can easily win, but it’s fairly masochistic to try and figure this out. No rhyme or reason, and impossible to get about half the achievements. I don’t even want to talk about this anymore. I’m feeling sick just thinking about the ordeal. It’s not worth even anywhere remotely close to $0.99, much less the asking price of $1.99. On a side note: I’d gladly pay somebody to fix this ♥♥♥♥ though! It could be alright, if the graphics were better, the gameplay were better, the achievements were not bugged, and well, basically there is nothing I can really say that’s redeeming about it. This is one of the worst of 2020 so far for me.

Became beatable once I invested points in the skill thing near the top-right of the menu.

Has a tutorial. But… it’s worthless to look at, since you can’t really follow any kind of ♥♥♥♥ it talks about and have it be successful as a strategy all the time. The more random you are, the better. The Daedric Lord, Sheogorath would be proud of this monstrosity. He actually makes more sense in his random spewage.

It ran without crashing, although my mind crashed when I started to play and get through the game.

At least it lasted over an hour. Mainly because I couldn’t just beat the puzzles based on any kind of strategy, and had to grind up a few skill points in first before I started to have a chance. Eventually it was pretty much easy mode - find matches and just click away. The more random and the more chains/combo stuff, the better.

Steam will let you refund this if you are smart and decide to spend that $2 USD elsewhere.

There is no point to this. It’s random as you can get, with no formula to figure out, just like a real University.

You get laughed at, and it usually will cut off my sound effect in between the laugh, so I can’t hear the full magnitude of it, which is nice.

The graphics are not very pretty. It’s very weak and feels lackluster and no effort was made, or something to that effect.

I won a game without moving a tile to make a match? I’m so confused.

No balance. Difficult at first, then you lose, gain points, skill up a few times, and it’s easy then, if you lasted that long to get beyond the initial onslaught of insanity.

Developer doesn’t care about game and won’t fix issues with achievement bugs.

Tutorial really sucks, and even if it were good, there’s nothing it could really explain anyway.

English translation is filled with grammatical mistakes. Won’t even log them because I already know the developer has basically abandoned this.

I don’t know why I am in the game, what the point is, what my goals are, and what to expect. Just like the rules, there is no rhyme or reason to this concept either. No story. Visual Novel fans stay away - and Match 3 fans - and everything but boobie watchers. That is all you can kinda see in the game. But there are nicer racks and more fun games to see them in.

There is no real reward on the third test. An interactive image you can click on nipples, and they’ll shriek a bit. Over and over if you like… to punish them for putting you through their mindless torture hell they created for you, built on madness, instability and chaos. Pure evil. That’s all I got.

Price? $1.99 for this drivel? Seriously? Glad I got this for free to review. Hope they are happy to get their money’s worth from me in return! Stay the heck away if you value your integrity, safety from mental harm, and do not wish to endure PTSD as I am now trying to slowly overcome after it’s still sinking in. What the hell just happened to me?
Do I need to list more cons? I certainly can, but I’m tired of adding more. I think I have cut this one deep enough, and honestly it’s not worth my time and effort going any further. I don’t know why this is even still on Steam and not a banned or removed game. Seems flipped and ignored to me. Nothing redeeming about it.



I feel like this game is coming along nicely! Oh wait, wrong review. That was my last one I think. This is not worth a penny. I wouldn’t even get this for cards if that was the only reason I bought games on Steam. Please take my advice and find a game that makes some kind of sense. I have lost touch with reality, and my life is slowly coming back into focus. I don’t know… Save your money and support caring developers and publishers. This is as shovelware as you can get pretty much. I retract the former statement - that’s putting shovels and shovelware down a peg. Deserves its own special title. Sorry to be so harsh, but anybody that can give me anything redeeming about this, I’m all eyes and ears. Comments section is open. Have at it! But for the love of all that is HOLY stay away from this. You don’t have to take my word for it. You have been warned, if you managed to read this far. Viewer discretion highly advised. This is dookie.

Directly from my achievement spam/casual category in the Steam client library, here we have this game with lots of tags - casual, rpg, indie, anime, for adults, nudity and whatever else.
Since the game has not yet gained its place in the achievement spam/casual rimossi category (rimossi stands for removed from the Steam store by the way but there's a character limit), I'm gonna review it here.
After 600 reviews, one should be aware that a developer of a 1€/$ game writing down "- You will see extremely beautiful landscapes and wonderful teachers" isn't that reliable..
Well.
The game opens in a main menu screen with some video options, a skill points section and the main story page. There are three girls, two of them locked, and we're gonna click on Kurihara, story 1.
We'll be transported into a visual novel-like world, with awful graphics - the girls are really badly designed, like they're standard figures you can find everywhere for free. For some weird reason you'll have to use CTRL and only that key to progress with the dialogue.. who knows why.
Then, you'll be transported into a match-3 standard game screen. The cards will depict school subjects and you'll just have to do the required number of matches in order to progress.
The girl on the right will randomly make some noises or sprite changes, but really nothing interesting.
And the match-3 game runs extremely slow, the cards disappear slowly and you'll have to wait for them to be replaced in order to make the next move, rendering all the game clunky and boring.
Needless to say, the girl will undress while you play.
The game has no hint system, but also no time system. It's just a "relaxing" match-3 thing.
You will collect study points that are basically useless and can be spent on the main screen.
Oh, there are some other mechanics never explained since the game lacks a tutorial - mainly, you'll have to focus on certain cards matching the girls' weakness in order to empty her bar and actually win the level, otherwise you'll get a lose screen and little else. The study points will be "useful" to increase your effectiveness on the particular card you chose.
Nothing of this is explained.
All in all, a match-3 game without tutorial and with awful graphics. Not recommended I'd say.

Complete and utter garbage. No explanation of gameplay is given within the game, and the reason for that seems to be that the gameplay is completely broken. I would refund this if I hadn't spent so little on it.

The match game is broken. There is no rhyme or reason to how the matches impact the status bar. A match that had positive results one turn will be negative the next for no apparent reason. The crude art doesn't do anything to redeem this steaming turd of a game.

If you want a good hentai match 3 game, go get mirror instead. This game isn't even worth the loose change I paid for it.

Buggy, boring and frustrating

- text areas suffer graphics tear
- scenerio names not filled in, says "New Text" on all (EN)
- Menu Options not filled in, says "Accept" on all (EN)
- no visible lang options (no options at all that I can tell)
- no help in game (that I can find)
- match three part of the game (the actual game part) is indecypherable - what drives success bar forward?

This isn't a game yet. Put it back in the oven till it's done!

Terrible artwork is terrible. Just but Mirror instead.

Seems to have a bit of an issue with taking pics from other places. Also, the Match-3 games are extremely random... and frankly, seem to be meant to piss off players.

Not sure I can recommend at this time.

the game mechanic do not work as expected. same matches has different results every time, sometimes its add to target, sometimes it subsstracts from target, even the amount differs and looks more like a random change than anything else. Also there is absolutely no hint about what should or should not be collected, so after several tries I was not able to finish first level. Also the match3 field feel "static", just like if it was painted on paper or something and it just feels... not right. Not to mention the girl, which looks realy wierd when she started to loose some clothes.

All in all... I gave up and asked for refund. These two hours feels totaly wasted even for computer game standards.
