I’ve never heard a single credible claim otherwise.

The reason for that is that the game is "affiliated" with a Russian company.
Seriously though, a "positive" from a virus scanner means absolutely nothing unless it's identified in the strict typing database. Almost every form of anticheat software Will trigger an alert, but these guys' software isn't being whitelisted as soon because their western distributor is a Russian corporation.
