It’s all BS. This game is safe. The publishing companies and steam wouldn’t risk carrying it otherwise.

I’ve never heard a single credible claim otherwise.

gotta admit im limited techy knowledge but my malware and windows defender both picked up unwanted files after only installing the game launcher.. not sure where to stand going to avoid for now while aoe 2 definitive comes out and maybe come back :)

Its safe, playing now since Closed Beta and zero warning, maybe u should check the false warnings? because i never get any of these and use nearly enogh software to secure my pc. If u cant belive it, then dont install it. One Simple thing to notice, if u go lives into the inet, u already ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and ppl spye each step u do. Nothing new to the Internet to be honost...

The reason for that is that the game is "affiliated" with a Russian company.
Seriously though, a "positive" from a virus scanner means absolutely nothing unless it's identified in the strict typing database. Almost every form of anticheat software Will trigger an alert, but these guys' software isn't being whitelisted as soon because their western distributor is a Russian corporation.
