NG+ is when you can transfer character stats and gear to new playtrought from beginning to finish game faster at ease.
1. Begin New Game? Yes
2. Do you want to load completed save file? Yes
3. Your items has been transfered to New Game+
(I'm going to add my previous reply to you from the main update post here since it's relevant for anyone who may stumble into this thread!)
Hey DevilDoll - thanks for the feedback. There are definitely a variety of ways to implement New Game+ mode (yours being one of them). It's an idea that we love.
That said, our priority is to deliver what we can, with the largest impact, in the shortest amount of time to players so they can enjoy themselves now. Our goal in this particular instance is to ease replayability and time investment to unlock features players would have had to play 10-20 hours to get back to.
That being said, is an expanded New Game+ something we would love to revisit? Definitely. Trust me when I say we're doing our best to implement what we can with the resources we have at our disposal.
You get 2 level ups which you spend on damage and build your party smartly. Sleigh and Mercantile will help you get more healing items down the line should you meet a merchant and dont shy away from swapping teammates instead of spendings hundreds of hellions healing them. there is also a single campfire that allows rest/recreation. for the boss fight just ignore anyone thats not the boss and you're good. I've done this twice and its a bit tedious since a fully geared party will steamroll the place but its far from being impossible.
True, doing this repeatedly would obviously result in Lyric maxing out her perks and being able to fill every party roll, but... isn't that sort of the point of a NG+?
I'd actually made sure to not equip any of my red items, in hopes of being able to equip them on characters in NG+. Now I discover that sticking them in my box was essentially useless.
EDIT: Also, I don't think this NG+ is necessarily "bad" per se. It's not what we were expecting, but it basically provides you access to all the dungeons that you can have before the turning point, unlock most recipes and allow you to grind most of the materials you wish to grind in between. There are no leveling in this game, so there's no issue of being underleveled either. I think it's OK, personally.
