walker building locked

why the hell is walker building most of the time locked? sometimes i can build, but mostly not. i got a walker now but cant make legs...what is this???

its because you need either schematics or tech tablet to build. Legs and wings costs tech tablets, or whatever they are called.

You can check the tech tree, to see what stuff requires, if you are missing schematic or tablets.

Thank you. And can you telle me how to log out safe and dont lose my walker and char incentory. cause allways when i log out then everything is destroyed by the nature

You need to build a base, in there you can log out safely with your character.

The walker also needs a base. This can be a little grindy, because it has to be quite big, even for a Dinghy.
This is not ideal to get done with just the small base maintenance box.
So i suggest buying a schematic at the trade station to get one easily.
I bought one for 20 ish.
You need to take on some semi big rupu camps to get one for free.

And always retract your walker wings, if you plan on being away from it for a while. They only take storm damage when they are out.

man this actually sucks. it was so cool when i had to go to the edge of the map and leave like i went into the dessert. i mean..to transport a big base for a walker..i also need a big walker...thx again

This change was a massive change to how the entire game loop is. How you play the game in general now, is way different than old days.

But considering there isn't a massive amount of tiles/ maps to hang around in, you could easily just set up multiple bases. Like set up a base in every map that is NOT a time-limited map. And just roll your way back to the base when you log out.
if a storm arrives when you are out, you can just dodge it when you are on your walker anyway.

i kind of like it. i just wish there were more depth to the game when its trying to go pvpvE.

You can build the ballang walker that is able to store a base. I havn't tried so idk how big it can be.

well thatds the next Problem. i also dont get the travelinge now. befor, i went to the edge of a map and chose were to go..now i just spawn in another map. i would like to chose were i go. the game is way more complicated now...why they did this...i was not one of the haters. i liked to play it. but now after i came back its just no fun cause everything is so complicated.

Just remember to read stuff in the UI :) the game is different

Travelling is not random. You can see on the world map what maps/tiles there are. And see if they are accesible ATM or not.

In the small map (the map of the tile you are on) you can see all the different clearings at the edges (time-limited openings to the other accesible maps/tiles)

but i understand the uninstall after losing it all.

i guess i will, now after you told me how some things work, cause the game is not that bad as many people say. it got a very own flair

today i played again. build a little house with 2 chests inside. when i came back , one of them was gone. in a pve server....the one with all the recipes...

no..had no idea. it was a wood base. one chest is still tehre..the other one is gone. is there anythings else i should know before i lose stuff again and again? :-D
