Weird Grappling Hook Issue

This mainly happens when I’m coming down from retrieving the small back on the shipwrecks. Everything is fine and then suddenly I slam into the ship or the ground and take a ton of damage. It happens constantly. Anyone else experience this issue?

It happens to me sometimes I think its server lag if you hold Q down for too long you will drop really fast. Easiest way I fixed this is to lower yourself in segments till you can just cut your line safely.

It is not server lag it is a bug specifically with those spots. If you have one of those cat monster things follow you to the area under that bag they will a lot of the times start spazzing out as well. It is just a weird bug with that area that doesn't seem to affect all of them equally.

On my end it only seems to happen specifically at these spots. I can launch myself tree to tree at hyper speeds and no issues at all.

Yeah I've noticed you need to jump 1st, whenever I don't jump I get like "stuck" to the wood, if I do reel up and then try to go back down I just slam into the ground. Works just fine if you jump off 1st then reel, reeling straight from the wood causes the "slam", haven't noticed it anywhere else either

yea i notice slam to but i bounce abit at the top and then teleport to the ground at mach 20 XD

Yes, two updates ago this appeared, but today It doesn't happen in the forest... Perhaps indeed a problem with that wreck.

2 patches ago started this, grappling to the get the cactus fruit works just like it did before, but the small bags always hit the ground, even if you are doing your very best not too, all of a sudden the ground is there

I do find it odd that they say they fixed the hook issue. because as soon as they said they fixed it, It happens every time I try to zip down from that bag on the bow.

Ok, good it's not just me then. I only have this issue on the wrecks. Everywhere else it seems fine
