Last Oasis wont start. failed to initialize steam?

Hey. I downloaded the game today and tried to start it. I came to the loading screen where it says loading but then i get a message saying "Failed to initialize Steam..."
I tried to deactivate my firewall, my windows defender, i closed alot of background stuff like my logitech and razer software but it still wont work.
Anyone able to help?

Am having same issue...

It's a mix of steam being trash and Lost Oasis backend issues

Just keep trying, it how it worked for me, you can also try reinstall steam and reset netwosh file

I reinstalled Steam. worked for me after that. good luck bois

Try this this is what Donkey told me. I Googled the reset netwosh file as suggested but Google did not bring up anything at all about netwosh. Im a 35 year pc tech and never heard of it myself.

Uninstall and reinstall the game.

Update your drivers to resolve any compatibility issues.

Unplug anything connected to USB plug besides keyboard and mouse (remove microphone/headset)

Disable anti-virus and firewall

Close all unnecessary programs running in the background via Task Manager

Verify the game cache

Close Discord before launching Last Oasis

I did it all but the update my drivers and windows 10 some updates I was missing now I dont get the error but only the anticheat loads then the mist process in my processes and never starts the game. Waiting to hear back from Donkey on my support ticket and if it helps will reply here with the possible fix.
