hard oasis people on a medium oasis
We are a few noobs on a medium server, and there is a clan that keeps rolling us that have the gear to break into our ship holds and bases. Also some iron armor it looks like.

So Im just trying to understand. My level 3 axe will not break ships or bases, so they must have the higher tier weapons. So those take tablets to make, and you can only get tables on hard oasis, right?

So doesnt that mean that those guys went to a hard oasis to gear up, and then back to a medium oasis to kill noobs who are almost guaranteed to have worse gear?

Am I missing anything here? Is that considered bad form?

you need fire arrows and yes they are doing that on purpose.... i have a group that could assist you if you want to join us on NA East

They are not using fire arrows, afaik. They are hacking at the ships with tools.
What tools are needed to break a ship hold?

fire arrows to get into holds you cant use weapons . weapons will break legs and other stuff but not the holds
Akita Apr 16, 2020 @ 9:34am
Ah ok so they are hacking at the legs. What about breaking into bases? Walls and stations?
And what level tools are needed to break legs?

How many fire bolts are needed to break into a dingy hold? What about a stiletto?

so what level of tool is needed to break walker legs? How about base walls? Base crafting stations? I think they are of type "hard" where a walker hull is of type "reinforced".

Crafting stations have no armor, can be hacked with a most primitive hatchet, Walker legs are soft, same as sandbag walls, can also be hacked with a hatchet. Just takes some time.

You can install hard legs on the spider, if you research that part, they're not destroyable by hand afaik.

And yeah, in general, some people who like to attack weaker ones, will go gear up in a hard zone and come back to medium zone to gank people with lesser gear, for fun I guess, cause they sure as hell do not need your materials.

This is also why you can't go back to Easy oasis after you leave it, cause it was perfectly predictable that this would happen and so this limit was enforced to protect the tutorial areas.

Ok thanks for all the replies. So I guess it is possible for them to do what they are doing without ever going to the hard oasis. Good to know. Guess we just need to toughen up!!! :-)

The "hard" and "medium" titles on tiles are kind of misleading. the rupu are stronger in hard and theres a giant crab. Thats about the only difference aside from a difference in resources. Dont expect to be safe from higher tech clans just because its a medium server. Medium tiles have a different makeup of resources than a hard zone. Even if a clan is controlling a hard zone, visiting a medium zone could be beneficial especially if they know the locations of quality resources. It isnt always about going back to a medium zone to pick on noobs. It could also be circumstantial encounters, meaning they come prepared to fight while doing something else but take advantage of the situation to gain a bit of loot from someone. It could also be malicious intent...one reason being medium tiles dont have as many trees, so using walkers like the falco are much stronger to gank others in the desert instead of a forest.

Every clan, no matter how large will need to go back to a medium oasis at some point. If you want to build walkers you need vision powder. Vision powder is crafted exclusively with giant cactus fruit and there are no giant cacti in hard servers. So far as I can tell the only way to avoid it is to raid rupu villages and hope for the rare giant cactus drop in an urn.

If you stock up before heading to hard servers you can last a while. But, especially if you're losing walkers in PVP clan battles, you're eventually going to have to go back to a medium map.

When we join medium we cant join easy servers because its for new people. why not do the same? Hard servers cant join medium servers?

You still need resources in medium zones and being able to travel around the world map is important to be able to travel between multiple types of zones.

You can't restrict the population of the game like that in this game also.
