Impressive....
I mean what the hell do they know, right?
You rock on with your bad self by letting them know you ain't going to believe in reality but instead choose to believe in your own reality and there isn't nothing anyone including the developers can say to change your mind.
And if anyone doesn't believe or go along with your view... Then they must be racist!
This is how all pvp games work a ton of it is crafting, and grinding but you do it all in a PVP envirment lol. Its like you don't understand only thing you need for pvp is players vs players. that is it there is zero other requirement you can make almost any thing PVP especially with survial crafting games lol
I think you are confusing PVP with FPS lol
You came in at the end of the season. It's always empty towards the end. It's like loading up counter strike, joining server with 0 players, spending 21 hours there, and then saying "It's a single player game, I ran around the map for 21 hours and didn't see a single person".
Reason why it's pvp is because you can be killed literally anywhere by other players. So there's always element of danger. Also reason why it's pvp is because there isn't ONE SINGLE CHALLENGING PVE THING IN THE ENTIRE GAME. There's no bosses, no dungeons, no story, nothing. The only NPCs are there to be farmed, by the hundreds. The only challenge is other players. Also devs specifically said it's a PVP game with PVE elements.
Well i didnt just run around the map for 21 hours i did what the game told me to do which was pretty much farm build farm build and in that 21 hours i was sitting there like well what do i do farm build/craft more or go look for pvp which im guessing would be me vs 5+ people that have Farm/Craft more then me. Dont get me wrong i like the game just think that it needs more time or something.
Heh, first day season2 started I loaded in the newbie area, some dude jumped me with a beatstick while I had the quest of picking up 5 pieces of wood to build my first beatstick, wasn't even 30 seconds into the game. Within 30 min I left the cradle, on a dinghy, with 20+ other guild mates (we coordinated to meet up in same cradle on discord). It was so heavy with all of us on it that it could not move up hills, we had to jump off and run alongside it uphill.
Once we got to our first medium map which was to be our home we were challenged by 2 other guilds of 20+ each, within less than an hour of getting there there was a huge brawl with hatchets/beatsticks and fiber armor where 60 people were involved (a few of the enemies had rawbone handaxes.... which was pretty OP). The whole map was barren, because resources couldn't respawn fast enough. I had to go far and wide to find a tree to chop down, forget about bone, that stuff was picked CLEAN. It was absolute madness, I got into dozens of fights just running around the map trying to pick basic resources. That feeling of danger every time you run by a person that isn't your clanmate, that rush of adrenaline when you realize "There's 3 of them.... they are chasing me.... I have these 20 bone I was lucky to gather....I can't die with them on me....", it's priceless.
I'm just saying that the experience you have of coming in at the END of the season is DRASTICALLY different from what you can experience in the very beginning. That experience will remove any slightest notion of thinking that this is even remotely a PVE game.
If I may, small piece of advice from someone who has done this whole fresh start thing 5 times now (1 time at very release s1, then servers were so bad they had to re-launch with a wipe 1 week later so that's 2nd fresh start, then I had a 2nd character for 3rd fresh start, then I had 4th fresh start on Beta Branch between S1 and S2, then another 5th fresh start for S2 on official, and this time I didn't bother with 2nd character). Treat your current start as a practice run. Enjoy the vast emptiness at the end of season, since you can now do things you wont be able to without being challenged by other people once S3 starts. There is likely a wipe coming up soon for S3. Be reckless, don't value or hoard things, just have fun and learn some of the mechanics (get SUPER GOOD with grapple, and wingsuit if you can get your hands on one). Then if you want the real game experience of crowded servers, try the real fresh start, with the knowledge you gained, in S3.
It's even more common for toxic PvE players to rag on the game for being a PvPvE production, seemingly despite having ignored the fact that it was primarily advertised as a PvP game when they researched/bought it. The loading screen is literally a clan war. How much more obvious does it need to get before the idiots among you stop buying games you don't like?
And if you genuinely think the game is failing because of PvP - if you're so wilfully blind that you cant see the dozen or so other critical issues that have been introduced or ignored during the course of early access - there's no point talking to you.
