looks like the developers did not want the PvE community money
instead we all bought this new game Vlheim
and developers made a s*** tonne of money
from the PvE community
over 5 million copies within the first month
I wonder what developers are rich now from the pve community
My Idea for Last Oasis need a better Map System and a Faction System, PvE maps like at the moment still must exist and then Some Maps open for a timed Duration where on one map can play 25vs25vs25vs25 or 40vs40vs40vs40 in Factions.
There is no chance to build on this maps, The Map has 10-15 Sections (how much Sections its a balance thing) U must control the most Sections for your Faction to hold this Map. Rewards for the Factions, and eventually a Special time limited Access (like Skins or something) for the WInner Faction. This Faction Map its still full loot and Destroy Walkers, thats important for economy on PvE.
The obvious answer is not always the correct answer.
No point, my dude. They don't listen, and you're just going to cop childish and obstinate BS until you stop posting if you try to push reason here.
You can't even ship to ship fight in PVE. Entire camps of rupus are taken out by solo players and are no challenge, nurrs aren't difficult, crab can be pretty much soloed with a hammer. It's possible to get tablets without every killing anything that fights back at all (get fragments from boxes that have no guards, put up torque mill that will never be attacked or destroyed by anything other than players, then go to a totally unguarded temple to make them) 0 challenge at all in PVE.
You could separate PVP and PVE zones like some are asking for, but don't you see that PVE portions would have to have guards with advanced AI (at each box, at each temple, plus AI ships hunting you) to make it equally challenging? That's a huge amount of effort to create AI like that. Maybe even impossible to do. Years of development at a minimum.
Rofl, you pve wh0r3s came to this pvpve game to force pve, forming huge clans to destroy any kind of pvp, especially solo as small clans pvp and force player to join a pve clan, cheating your way if necessary (especially chinese clans) to dominate on high res pve only tiles.
Stop inversing roles here : you pve fanatics are the very only players to blame, in addition to devs of course, for the epic failure of this game.
Stop coming in pvp games when you can't stand pvp you stupid helpless freaks, you owe me 25 bucks !
Now, for those of you in the back on the PvE side of the fence: This guy is also wrong, but this is what your bullshit looks like to those of us in the middle.
I see, because you own the very truth, don't you "Mr in the middle" ?
My post relates to nothing but personal experience, this is no speculation nor wild hypothesis about pve or pvp impact on marketing. Without pve wh0r3s this game would has been nothing but a pvpve game with some cheaters, which many other games can survive to and even live pretty well with : many open pvp survivals, H:SD, SoT and so many others.
LO has been killed by a very aggressive pve community (once again especially big chinese clans of cheaters) who's decided to ♥♥♥♥ up the game by mostly abusing of every exploits and cheats in order to obtain their so needed pve tiles, never stopping their demands to get even more big clans possibilities as pve dedication from devs as to abandon pvp as much as possible. Hence the leaving of roughly all solo players as small clans (aka casuals gamers) which are the vast majority of players in any freaking game.
used destroyed that game all the developers lost their jobs
first of all get your facts right
there is very little pve in this game.
and most of all the playerbase is PvP griefers
all griefers are doing the same here again
actually the pve community is trying to rescue this game but developers will not listen.
Mmhmm. It had absolutely nothing to do with them not fixing bugs or implementing necessary features like alliance systems and a more in-depth clan ranking system to allow you to actually identify and organise your allies, to prevent accidental diplomatic incidents and insiding. Nothing whatsoever to do with the late implementation of the burn, or the refusal to more than half-assedly address duping exploits and the like. Nope. It's them big dick PvE players who decided to abandon the playstyle they want for one they hate for hundreds of hours, in order to push god-fearing PvPers out of their own game.
CTSG wasn't a PvE clan, my dude. They're one of China's equivalents to the West's 4chan. They are griefers. This sort of crap is what they do, to all of us.
This game had a massive amount of potential. It had systems in place to create moving city states where Clans could control tax and protect solo players who like to gather and build and could then sell that to the larger clans in a zone so they can go PvP.
The issue with that... is PvPers aren't interested in that. EvE online proved that. The fact you have Suicide Gankers to punish players that want to build and not fight or just mine happily and not do the PvP thing is the proof that the Murder Addicts want everyone to be like them and will do all the can to punish anyone that isn't.
Because of that this game which had a unique and interest mechanic and nothing to prevent PvP brought those Murder Addicts in... the had those Zerg fights and then the PvE people that were dumb enough to buy the game quit.
People like me took a wait and see because I saw the potential but I also saw what it would likely become because it is obvious that the PvP Murder Addicts would ruin it for everyone else with no PvE based nodes. (Even if they had produced a system to allow a centralized group of nodes to be PvE only and then have outlaw PvP nodes on the edges) It would have allowed the game to gain traction.
Sadly they didn't and the game predictably is fairly sparse with only a few hundred people playing. It is a shame... I would have loved to play this game. Not worth the money sadly. I still check in from time to time but never have hope.
Rofl..."rescue the game" No you aren't. You are just trying to take over another game that didn't have you in mind in the first place. I like most people like multiple types of games. I play whatever i'm in the mood for. Last oasis is awesome for open world full loot pvp and should stay as such. You people that don't like pvp have no business being here. Why are you trying to take away one of the very few games that those of us that like pvp have? The "pve only" community is extremely selfish, self absorbed, and toxic.
Maybe that's the problem, if you want PVE, instead of buying PVP games and trying to turn them into PVE, maybe your library should consist primarily of PVE games instead?
I've always played 2 games at a time, PVP and PVE depending on how I feel. For example over the years for PVP fix it was Counterstrike, DAOC, Planetside 1/2, Warhammer Online, Guild Wars 2, Gloria Victis, now LO. All excellent PVP games, many with PVE elements. While alongside when I feel like getting a PVE fix I'd play Everquest (albeit on PVP server), WoW, Witcher 1/2/3, Mass Effect 1/2/3/Andromeda, XCom 1/2, Minecraft, GTA, and many other great mostly PVE titles (though many had MP PVP component, those were fairly minor). I tried to keep them in somewhat chronological order going back 20 years or more. It all depends on what you feel like playing.
I'm just saying it would be silly to go and demand that Planetside 2 be turned into PVE single player game, or Witcher 3 into MP persistent PVP game. Would it be possible.... with 5+ years of development maybe, possibly even cool to see too (Witcher PVP game.... sounds interesting.... or single player Planetside 2 with story missions and bots friendly and enemy, also pretty sweet sounding). But would it be a realistic thing to ask for?
