Recycle/Repair crafting items?

I'm pretty sure this doesn't exist, but I'm just double checking in case I might have missed something. The UI and menus can be very cryptic.

Is there any way to repair your crafting items? Like fix damaged tools/weapons/clothing?

Or recycle clothing or items for materials (like you can with crafting stations or walker parts)? Like if I upgrade my backpack to a bigger one is there a way to recycle the old one or do I have to just basically throw it out?

I assume this is all "no" but I just wanted to check in case I'm missing something in the menus.

Yes there is a repair station for fixing weapon/tools/clothing etc in the tech tree bottom of the crafting sub section.

Just to update, in case anyone in the future finds this thread in a search:

The repair station has long since been removed from the game. You "repair" items by dragging 1 of the same item onto another. It just adds up whatever the total life remaining is of the two of them and applies it to the stationary one not being dragged.

IMO, this is a poor replacement. They should bring repair stations back.
Also, I think you should be able to recycle items, clothing and tools to get some % of the resources back, just like you are able to disassemble built structures and crafting stations.

Obviously, this game being where it is, that's never going to happen, but whatever.

This is old, it was worked on and re added. You can find it in the construction menu I believe. If its not there, its on the blue menu. They are relatively cheap to make.

basicly it allows some one to repair a metal sword that was given to them if they can buy the mats at trade post. but if can craft the items its usually better used on quality tools
