Nurr strategy
So with these recent changes;
- Added new Nurr behaviors - new attacks, jumps, ambushing etc.
- Improved or replaced some of the existing Nurr behaviors.
- Made Nurrs appear in groups instead of solo.

I have to assume that we can't ride on their backs anymore. Now we actually need a real solution to these creatures. Anyone have some good ideas? Especially for someone solo, but also in general?

Repeaters? Remote Ballista?

the game despawns nurr if you shoot it from far away.... :/

And now they wont stop chasing you. They are now mini crabs that you cant block an attack from.

my spider is upgraded to T2.. and nurr now runs faster than it and just broke it into pieces...

And They're faster than a spider in sprint now (even follow you upwards cliffs) and knock it over with ease... Trying o get up again and flee was impossible since they knocked it over again immidatly. They don't even left the walker after dying.... Had to lure them away with my toboggan (they stop chasing eventually)

wondering how the new players can survive in the desert on med map...

Nurrs are totally broken now - one Nurr can flip Stiletto walker upside down. It will flip your walker, kill you, wait for you to respawn and kill you again. Strategy is simple: you see Nurr - you RUN! Nurr see you - you're dead.
And yes, remote ballista is not responding. In my case at least

yes my case, i respawned and died again... i exit the map and re-entered, and the nurr is still there playing around my spider though it was total loss

Not total maybe. Try to spawn somewhere far away, return to your walker, aggro Nurr and run as far as you can. Nurr should follow you and stay where it kill you. If it's far enough, you can respawn on walker out of Nurr's aggro range and get away
It worked in other games, it worked here before - it might still be working

well... I tried but not working - when I respawned at far away, ran closer to my spider, I see the nurr playing my spider and it is already in pieces... I lured it to run after me and got me killed that it stays where I was killed. I respawned again from far away and ran to my spider that was already in pieces... that proves one thing - nurrs likes playing walkers as their toys!

We had a nurr chase down one of our Tobo's. Flip it and proceed to murder the driver.... over... and over again... lmao.

Aside from it being absolutely hilarious, it's total aids.

The map i'm on, the trade post has nurrs in it, should be interesting.

Anyone got the same but on a Titan? ;-)

I'm not a fan of hard-mode gaming but I kinda like this. But to be honest the game needs actual monsters you are supposed to avoid unless you have no choice, besides the crab. Before now, whenever I saw one of them cat lizards I checked how much hide and chitin plates I had.

I don't like them flipping big walkers however.
TabbHonmin May 1, 2020 @ 11:25am
This is ridiculous. There is no way to avoid a Nurr once it starts chasing you with a Spider.
They should stop following you after a while or run slower.
What is the point of mobs if you can't do anything against them unless being really well stuffed in armor and weapon ?
New players will love this for sure...
