Blocking off resources
i play mostly solo, roam the map looking for quality resources. came by a (very rare) lv60+ bone frag. Next day i came back some clan build a reinforced base around that thing.. there are 4-5 bases like that ive encountered on my maintile and im sure theres plenty more. PLS stop blocking off resources, its just a ♥♥♥♥ moove. easy way to fix that would be to not be able to place roofing on top of resources for example. it should be first come first serve. large groups allready have the benefit of being able to farm multiple spots at once wheras it takes me like 1-2h to farm most of my spots because i need to travel across the desert multiple times and drop off my loot in the safehouse.

really cant wait for the burning off tiles to come so everybody has to go look for those spots again on a regular basis and not just use a shiftigsand page some clanmate made 3 weeks ago

The only problem is once the burning starts there will be more competition over such spots so expect more pvp in important areas.

You also need to remember that it takes time for the resources to reach their max level and if you don't protect them they will be over farmed and be of lower quality thus everyone suffers.

easy solution - quality materials should spawn random on map not on the same places

Quality resources should spawn randomly after farmed and they shouldnt ever be anything below Q20

Actually, i am pretty sure this is intended behavior, as a clan that owns the tile, you should be allowed to block off high quality materials, and then need to defend them

Defend them, Why? who going to waste all the resources just to break in to get a few bone splinters. Some people don't even have the equipment to even break in.

you dont OWN the tile, you just hold the claim for the time being. you may be king of the oasis, but any king can be dethroned.. you benefit a hell of a lot from ppl farming on "your" tile anyhow, isnt that enough as it is?

They do it to allow the quality resources to mature to the highest level before farming it otherwise some solo will come along and just harvest it at whatever level it is.
It's a smart thing to do defending it.

Yeah burning oasis puts west players at disadvantage (by what we are told so far) & makes it near impossible to a degree for new & raided players to even play anymore. Blocking off resources & zerging (griefing as well - despawn loot, not letting players keep "toolbelt/hotbar items) will kill the game. Foresight from experience is as good as hindsight after the fact.

no, they do it to block anyone else from accessing it. everybody who is looking for quality stuff knows you shoulddnt farm it when its not ready. i go to my spots once a day. sometimes im lucky and im the first one there and other times someone else was faster. thats the way it should be (with the current spawn mechanic). random spawn would be much more benefical as it would force ppl to actually travel across the entire tile all the time instead of just farming a few specific areas over and over

yeah, same kinda ppl complaining about lack of content but dont even bother to understand the core game mechanics. I play mostly solo atm to be able to grasp every aspect of the game from a learn by doing (myself) standpoint. I really dont get why a new player would want to join the biggest clan on the server to then have everything straight away at his disposal.. the natural progression system in this game is absoultely awesome! it took me quite some time to figure out the right way to go unlocking the right stuff. no point in researching something that needs stuff you cant craft allready for example. I do realize that this game is not really meant for solos and thats totally fine by me, iget a hell of a lor more hours out of it this way xD

but to get back to the topic. getting quality stuff is essential for that progession imo since better tools last longer and have higher yield. you end up saving a lot of swings if you focus on this early. but it needs to be available for everyone imo.

Another thing about high quality resources is, depending on your level they may never know if the resources are fully mature. and there tool may be giving lower level resources also. So waiting may not matter for those people.

very true indeed, i myself am lv 43 (started last week) so its hard for me to tell. taking one swing at it usually does the job xD

Break in and chop it down then, why do people want to keep adding more 'rules' to this game and make it 'fairer'. It is an open world full loot pvp game ffs. Quality material spawn in the same spot for a reason, conflict.
