Toboggan
We are a small guild, and a Stiletto is our main walker.
We wanted to create a Toboggan for trading purposes, so we unlocked it and built it.

We are puzzled now that we have created it frankly. We indeed heard that it was slower after a patch, but considering it is A LOT more expensive than creating a Stiletto :
- it is slower as stated above
- it has more HPs in its parts, but that's balanced with the slower speed
- build area is very small
- resources can stack more, but inventory slots are much more limited,
- AND anyway the weight limit is the same for both ships, at 8000. So what is the point of stacking more resources if in the end you are limited by the weight the same way as a Stiletto?

I understand that some people use it as a convenient mobile storehouse, is this all this ship is?
Is this ship where it is intended to?

Yeah, I was never quiet sure why anyone rode those things. I ran with a group of pirates for a bit and literally every time I spotted one of those we knew it was going to be a good haul. They are really really slow and easy to attack.

Whats the point of having a medium backpack, if it doesn't increase your weight capacity?.....just think on that for a second.

Having a Toboggan, where one slot can carry 999 wood. Thats equal to 10 slots on the stiletto.

The pack count is 70 higher then the Stiletto.

If you are using it for trading purposes, which is the main purpose of the walker. You'll be usually farming just 1 or 2 different item types. Which you can fill a lot more in the Toboggan then the Stiletto.

just make a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ platform with 10 small chests and ull have a stiletto with 10 times more space than a tobaggon lol
theyll need to put the same effort to reach those chests

Are you serious or stupid, your math is way off.

You can have a bigger platform with even more small chests or medium chests in the Toboggan since it has more pack space, plus the fact that it slots stack 999.

But all these chests will slow down the Toboggan since it has 8000 weight limit like the Stiletto. So you will be even slower, and as far as I know you can't get past that weight limit anyway, so why would you choose a Toboggan in lieu of a Stiletto?

You can go past the weight limit. Walker's weight work just like the player characters, it will go yellow, then red. Walkers don't slow in till the get past the weight limit, I don't see where you are getting that notion. Speed doesn't really matter, when farming. You drop the Tobo, and gather around it, then move onto the next spot.

I'll do a quick math scenario also before another idiot like Kek opens his mouth.

Looking at the stats of lvl 2 tobo, and silitteo. Tobo has 8 slots, that hold 999 each, and Silitteo has 16 slots that 100 of each.

If we pack a base in the siletteo lets say 10 small chests is the max. (I'm not sure the max, but lets assume for the question.) 10 small chest hold 16 slots each.

Now the Tobo has 35% more pack space, so that means it can hold 3.5 more chest, we'll round to 3. So 13 chest at 16 slots each.

So the siletteo, in this scenario has 176 slots, which means it can hold up 17,600 single items or 176 stacks of 100 (1 slot hold 100 of an item).

Now the Tobo, has 13 chest packed with 16 slots at 100 each would be, 20,800 single items or 208 stacks of 100. + the 8 slots that hold 999 each which equals 7992 single items or roughly 80 stacks. So a total of 28,792 items or roughly 288 stacks.

Roughly 60% more items can fit in the Tobo then the siletteo.

Sure they have the same pack space but if you think about the weight of item, most are under 1 kg. It'd be pretty tough to get to 8000 on Siletteo farming compared to Tobo.

So in the end if you are grind farming. Tobo is the way to go.

wtf are you talking about? I've read all tooltips, and the post by the devs, they never mentioned this made up mechanic are you just assuming this?

I've felt an obvious difference when I hit that overweight limit yellow zone. If whatever you say is true, it doesn't seem to make much of difference till that yellow zone. Nor does it negate Shadow's post that Tobo is the superior farming walker. Maybe think of something useful to say then talk.

Bigger Walker = Bigger pack-up base

Simple answer, the tobbo is a trader and for traders only the cargohold is important, not the base you can pack on it since you can´t unpack at tradehub and outside of the tradehub is dangerous and timeconsuming (time is an important factor since the pvp protection is a global timer and doesn´t get reset instantly once you leave, the timer just runs up again while you´re out.... so you need to stay 15min outside to get the full 15min protection again).

So it is known that weight capacity only slows you down after you got past that limit? Is there a source on this?

I could swear we could move slower than our friend's Stiletto and we were at 6000/8000 while he was at maybe 2000/8000.
