SAND IN THE GEARS !

I have the following problem. I want to leave the oasis where I am right now with my walker, but whenever I drive to the edge (without sand in the gear / bar) I log out safely and he tells me I have too much sand in the gear. why is that? I even installed a sand module. ask for quick help!

are you doing the safe logout option even though at the edge that makes you wait 2 min. that still puts sand in gears when your at edge all you have to press is L and it does same thing

Sand is a a method to prevent rapid movement. You can make 2 jumps then you have to go into the center of a map (hard) or to one of the canyon areas (Med) and walk around until it leaves. The put it into your gears when you safe log to sort of prevent the skaters from leaving. It makes you come into the map and be at risk.. usually very low risk IMHO but none the less risk. You circle in place for a couple minutes and the gear clear. Then you can go to the edge hit L and log to the edge. From there you can use water to go to another Oasis tile or reenter the one you are in.

Of course you know this but maybe some other reading it do not so Remember if it is under half filled you can still jump. The mods only make it take less time to empty your gears in the circle point above.

Sand in the gears is the mechanic that made me stop playing. It's irrelevant if people rationalize it. I know what it is, how to deal with it, but subjectively ruins my desire to play. This is fine, not all games are for all people. What is NOT fine is this is a mechanic you discover WELL outside of Steams refund window. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... well, I will only buy survival games on GoG now because of this.
