how to lock your chests

always when i go to chests from people i have no acces to it but when i came back to my walker everything was gone

The chests are locked when you place them but it is also possible to break them open with tools/weapons and then loot it

It's a bit misleading, if you access lets say your small chest you will see the name and underneath it it will say Locked. Most people, myself included were looking for the option to unlock it, but there is none.... instead the locked indicator will go to unlocked when your small chest (or other storage devices) go below 50% health points.
