Edit: since I posted here, I managed to solve the problem myself. Solution is noted in my thread on the matter.
What's wrong with MP2? I know MP1 is plagued with sound problems in cutscenes, but someone made a fix for that long ago called MaxBatch.
My game was also just going to a gray window after the patch. Here is how I just fixed it:
#1 - Make sure game is not running.
#2 - Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Return to Castle Wolfenstein\Main\" and delete the file "wolfconfig.cfg"
#3 - Start Game. Should work now. (Did for me in Win 8.1)

I went through wolfconfig.cfg in Steam\steamapps\common\Return to Castle Wolfenstein\Main and edited this line:
seta r_glIgnoreWicked3D "0"
changing the 0 to 1.

All is OK after reinstalation..Now only to fix fps drop.
