How to activate my reatil copy on Steam?

I have this game on a retail copy but my serial number doesn't work when I try to activate it. Is there anyway I can do it?

You can't, the game wasn't released for Steam in the first place.

I have 2 games that weren't originally on steam (the original supreme commander games) and you can use the CD codes for them to unlock them on steam. Just because a game wasn't originally released on steam doesn't mean the retail code can't be used. That said, There is a list on the forums of games that are compatible.

Yeah, but it's not the case for RtCW :) For the good reason the game has too much cracked copies and others, so even if you had to bought it, you'd just have to find an unused key to get it.
