mission 3:weapons of vengeance problem: last guard ALWAYS spots me

i played rtcw in the past and completed the mission by sprinting along the right wall(from way back) and the guard didn't spot me, now he spots me 30 times in a row

on a youtube playthrough, i see the player just run to the right from the building door and the guard didn't spot him , wtf (cheated with 'enemy AI off' ?)

The guards have a wide field of view it seems; I remember struggling for this mission (even had to restart I think), but succeeded...

Edit: Saw your reply in the other topic, could you please take a screen to see which guard is a problem?

it's the farthest guard, standing near the exit tunnel for the truck and near the alarm box,
i can see him through my scope looking around fast and in panic constantly,

if i approach the truck from any angle , i'm always in his sight and he starts shooting , then runs for the alarm (ofc he doesn't hit me for i run behind the first cover i get to, but that doesn't save me...)

i tried sneaking and running , i even tried to enlarge the distance a bit, by running ON the right wall:p

and lastly , i even tried to start running when his face was turned in all different directions for a split second

and ofc i tried to ignore him and just jump into the truck

Are you sure you haven't already tiped him off ? Maybe earlier in the map he 'heard' or 'spotted' you. If you have a slightly early save to go back to I would try that.

i restarted the whole forest mission and at the end i saw that last guard just making his rounds:p
he wasn't alarmed , didn't see me running along the right wall and i finished the mission

i think the reason for the problems earlier was that i shot(silenced) the inner tower guard from outside the base and his corpse dropped in sight of that last guard

On the tram ride mission there's a part where you break open a vent above a generator and climb through, when you reach the end you see a nice looking hall with a guard patrolling, on my first playthrough I saved with the guard in view inside the vent as he walked past without noticing me but upon loading the save he looks straight at me and walks as if he's just waiting for me to get out of the vent.

A few other times I've loaded saves with enemies nearby and they act alerted or different from the first play through, so on this level I'd either save far away from the guard or just complete the level without loading a save.

Got to say thank you so much for the tip. I had the same problem with the last guard and you were right. I had shot the last watch tower guard earlier while he was standing on the far side of the watch tower, where the last guard could see his body.

The last guard doesnt tip the alarm until you run for the truck for some reason. So I restarted from an earlier check point and shot him on the opposite side of the watch tower and it worked. Followed the wall around and the guard did not set off the final alarm.

Again, thank you so much, as I was about to quit the game for good after trying it over 50 times!
