I'd say Spear and Wolf3d are together, RTCW and maybe WOlfenstein are as well, never played that one, think its 2008 release game. Then Old Blood, New Order, New Collossus. By putting WOlf2 in the New Collossus title almost seperates these games from the previous ones IMO.
See, I would tend to agree, but I've played every game up until Old Blood (except the RPGs), and I've noticed that in each one, there was juuuust enough references to events from previous games to connect them. The New Order has Caroline Becker talk about being paralyzed by Hans Grosse, which is EXACTLY what happens in Wolfenstein (2009), and to add further connection, Deathshead is all disfigured in that game [/spoilers/] from the zeppelin crash at the end of that game [/spoiler]; B.J also recognizes Deathshead in that game, which means that RtCW also happened, and even if that wasn't enough, B.J also talks about being in Deathshead's X-Labs in both TNO AND TOB.
There's a shopkeeper in Wolfenstein 2009 that makes reference to the Spear of Destiny and two Nazi soldiers having an arguement about B.Js hair color, one saying that he's seen reports of him with blonde hair. Those may just be tiny references, which you could also say about the dream sequence from The New Order, but The Old Blood not only has multiple dream sequences of B.J's time in Castle Wolfenstein during the events of Wolf 3-D, but there's a newspaper article in that game that directly refernces the events of that game as well.
"Berlin, 3 Jan. 1946 - It was the Führer himself who put the noose around the neck of the assassin known as "the Castle Wolfenstein terrorist" when he was executed Sunday morning.
Herr Hitler was in a fine mood having recovered remarkably well from the cowardly assassination attempt. As he was led into the execution chamber, the terrorist soiled himself when he saw our Führer in such good health. "Let this be a powerful reminder that all enemies of our great nation will meet a righteous end," said Herr Hitler after the assassin had stopped twitching where he hung on the rope. "It is time to quell the insidious rumors claiming that I was badly hurt by the terrorist and that he managed to escape. They were fabrications manufactured by our enemies. Everyone who is found to repeat these lies will face trial as traitors of the Reich."
I would mention the Graphic Novels, but a lot of people don't seem to agree with them, so I won't talk about them
My confusion stems from the fact that, while places like the Raven Software Graphic Novels place RtCW AFTER 3-D, other sources say it happened before 3-D. So what I want to know is, which is it?
