Steam - version of the game?

Hi,

I bought this game today and checked on the console that the game is v.1.32.

This is very strange because in the game folder there is a readme file and it says that the game is v.1.4.

Which version should I have? Which version do you have?

The official patch is v.1.4 (from 2002), John Carmack (id software) released v.1.41, unofficial patch is v.1.42d (widescreen fix), so why is my game v.1.32?

It's the GotY version I believe, 1.32 with extra MP maps

I usually update it to 1.41b then ioRtCW

Yes, you're right. Steam has the latest version of this game.

I'm using the unofficial 1.42d patch by Knightmare. Everything works great :-)
