it's a relatively old-school shooter, you gotta be fast, crouch behind cover, strafe around, etc...
Use heatlh strategically, so if you got 80 health left and you see health packs, save those for when you really need to. Even if you gotta backtrack to find an old health pack don't waste it when you're still pretty good.

Quick save is your best friend

Relying on quicksave does get very repetative & boring after a short while. Along with the bullet sponge enemies even at the lowest setting. Pretty easy to attempt to speed run most areas though once getting used to the map layout.

Got to an area which I think might be a boss although I'm being shot from all directions by these catsuit wearing nazi girls or spammed with grenades. I have no useful cover that doesn't put me in direct line of fire & barely any ammo unless I use the POS 'sniper'.

I do vaguely remember playing the boxed version with some extra content years ago & don't remember it being nearly this hard at all. Shame.

I'm not sure about predicting where they'll pop out from as each time I seem to reload a quicksave they have change position slightly. It doesn't seem to be 100% consistant. I noticed this with other enemies throughout previous levels do this too.

Nothing wrong with it except when I poke my head round a corner to see a stone wall & no catsuit nazi girl only to then turn around & get a face full of bullets ha.

I also tried grenades after dying from previous attempts to see if they would help, but they started to do the same so it made things worse as I'm trying to hide behind cover with a lovely grenade sitting next to me hissing.

I found that when they roll across the floor is when I can unload on them & kill them, but not so easy when there's so many of them at once, when there's only 1 or 2 it's not so bad. They aren't stupid though as when I sat behind cover waiting for them to approach me they seemed to copy the same idea. That strategy failed, pretty clever.

Shooting when they cartwheel is the right idea. Also remember that crouching quiets your footsteps. Once you've been discovered, switch away from the silenced sten as it overheats too quickly, go full auto with the mp40. This is the first really difficult area of the game... and there are much harder areas later on (including more ninja nazis).
