cheats dont work
remember the cheats everyone was saying? yeah this is what happens to me if i put +set sv_cheats 1 and i go to my game and then it starts the game then what happens i go to the console and then i say /god it says "cheats arent allowed on this server" so i dont know why it isnt working at all i think i need to put +set sv_cheats 1 in the console not just in properties i want someone to help me out here because i've been wanting to do this

do i have to reload the game or just paste that in and the cheats will work?

Yes, it's a console command, as indicated in the text... In game then.

Cheats run in this game.

Steps you must make:
1.) go in a game.
save it and than go back to the game menu.

2.) than click " ^ " for the console and write " /killserver "

3.) load the last save point and than click in game " ^ " again.

Now you can write the cheat orders like " /god " and they will work :)

i know i know, but i want to do it but it doesn't work for some occasions, also that the fact i want cheats is to mess around with Half Life itself

Cheats can be used by mappers as well to check stuff :)
