Shield Pit softlock

So I stupidly entered the minion pit with only the shield and it seems to be impossible to get out as I can't get ending #49 (unless I glitch enough outside of the pit maybe), I cant take any damage to die and i don't have the jump height to get up and press the buttons. Anyone know of a way out?

You can definitely "softlock" in this game -- it's not something it tries to avoid happening. You can open your menu and return to the main menu. If you have the sword, there's a different option there too.

Go AFK for too long and one of the endings will trigger.
