Though since you want a pat on the back or feel special or w/e.
You can be "proud"/special and be currently only 1 to point these things out now a days, when everyone else knew and pointed out all that on first few days of this game's release Long ago.
I mean to feel special and say the saying of only one.. when that not possible for anything almost (obviously, almost as obvious as these facts about game) and to not just look at the posts to find out this, if this were a real wondering statement.
They should really cut the crap - cinematics, sob story, romances and family ♥♥♥♥. Return to their roots. I realize the chief PB guy is married and has a baby but it doesn't mean this has be a part of the game.
As for leaning towards a specific faction, it's obvious that Elex 2 differs from 1 in that the story appears to push you towards being neutral rather than picking one faction over another.
On a whole, Elex 2 feels a lot more shallow compared to 1.
Morkons are quite fleshed out, have a really interesting backstory, culture and society.
They really aren't, though. I did all of their quests save their faction exclusive. They are a molemen who worship death. That's it, they have another god that doesn't worship death and supporting that god does nothing story-wise. Their lore is shallow and poor justification for a faction that is worse than Outlaws. This isn't "whine", this is pointing out poor writing, story-railroading and a setting that is worse off for it.

I'm going to keep playing it, but it's not grabbing me like the first one did... the first one had me fully intrigued from the moment it started to the moment it ended... 5 hours into this one and I'm just kinda going through the motions
For ELEX II, Jax's voice-actor Conor Hall wasn't available (for reasons I don't know). I don't think the new voice-acting is bad, and particularly it has been a welcome change to find more humor in ELEX II, not limited to fun quests with kids and various troublemakers in the towns.
The time you've spent in the game doesn't tell anything about how much story content and optional content you may have seen.
Considering how many hours I put into ELEX, yah, I'm not too far in, but like I said, from the moment I started ELEX, I was completely drawn into it from the visual world and the story... on that level, ELEX 2 missed the mark with drawing me in right off the bat with a greatly diminished sense of direction and purpose
ELEX II is the continuation of a neutral ending with regard to the Hybrid in the first game. Jax starts weak again and is diseased/poisoned after one of the Skyands trackers has bitten him. That is taking its toll not only on his health but also on his mental strength, motivation and relationship with others, particularly Caja.
ELEX II contains some good conversation and voice-acting. And especially the various escorting missions are much better than those in ELEX. That's IMHO, of course.
